This week, you will learn about the professional organizations that support teachers and parents of students with SLDs. Your first step is to become familiar with each of the professional organizations listed in the week’s resources and one organization in your state or country of residence. In a paper, summarize the level or type of support that each organization offers to you as a professional. Highlight key features that you think would be helpful in your role as a special educator. The second part of this assignment is to select one of the organizations and follow it on social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.). Post one comment to the organization’s page or respond to one tweet from the organization. Submit a screenshot of this post along with your paper.
