the effects of children’s experiences of domestic violence on the development of juvenile delinquency

A. Introduction
Make up a person (or think of a person you know) and develop a paper describing the person’s lifecycle from infancy through old age and death. The child will have a particular race and ethnicity, a socioeconomic standing in the community, good and bad habits, parents/family and their expectations of the person, friends, and a career.

B. Literature Review: Provide an annotated review of the current literature addressing the kind of life your made-up person is likely to have. Much of this literature may come from psychology, sociology or anthropology sources, which are available in databases in LIRN. Please seek the assistance of the librarian to help you find resources for your paper. At least half your articles should be dated 2012 through 2018.

C. Privileges or Benefits This Person is Likely to Have from His/Her Family Circumstances. For example, is the person likely to have access to a good education that teaches reading, writing, math, and other basic subjects a person should have to be successful? What about access to medical services, to food and clean water? Perhaps the person has family connections that will help him/her get good housing or a job, or other things that allow for a comfortable life (if the person has any such privileges). What effects would you expect to see across the lifespan from these privileges or benefits?

D. Challenges or Barriers the Person is Likely to Face from His/Her Circumstances. For example, is the child a member of a group that suffers discrimination? If the child of a wealthy person, is the child likely to be neglected by parents? Is access to safe, healthy food and water or education, or good jobs, or other resources a problem for the child, and what effects will that have on development across the lifespan?

E. Probable Life of this Person: Describe what you expect to be the major life events in your person’s life, and how will those impact his/her likelihood of having/raising children, having a “good life” in whatever context that person has to judge his/her life to be good. How long is this person likely to live, and what is he/she most likely to die of?

F. Correct use of English, good sentence and paragraph structure, good writing style including organization and logical flow of the ideas. You must have your paper reviewed by the Librarian, English tutor, or your own English teacher prior to submitting the paper. It will not be graded if the English is so poor that the instructor cannot understand what you are trying to communicate.

G. Use of APA format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc., Maximum length of 10 pages, not including the title page and reference pages.
