Archie Carroll’s hierarchy of corporate social responsibility makes the distinction between different levels of organizational responsibility with the baseline responsibility being for the organization to fulfill its economic duty of producing a return for its investors. One of the central theses of this course is that the ethical and discretionary responsibilities of corporations today are of increasing importance if an organization is to be successful.
Demonstrate an understanding of the definition of CSR within the context of the various stakeholders that a corporation must serve. In addition, analyze how an organization can evolve to respond to social and environmental pressures.
