1. Research an example of a successful LGBTQ+ activist or an example of successful LGBTQ+ activism in history. Describe what the person or activism accomplished and why you think this was important. 2. Research an LGBTQ+ activist organization. Describe what the organization does and why you value their work in particular. This can be a local, national, or global activist organization. For examples, take a look at the document “LGBTQIA+ Global and National Activist Networks and Organizations.” To locate the document, go to “Modules” and then “Weeks 11 & 12” and then click on “Activism.” You can discuss an organization that is not on this list, these are just examples. 3. There are multiple pieces of legislation being heard in legislatures across the country that deeply impact the lives of LGBTQ+ people. Choose one (see here (Links to an external site.) for some examples from the ACLU but these are only examples. You can choose any type of bill) and describe what the issue is, why you are concerned about it or interested in it, and what you believe should happen (6 sentences minimum, no citations required). If you are having trouble understanding the bills from the list I gave you, you can always try to Google the bill for more information.
