Describe the issue of Hispanic identity. Compare and contrast the different backgrounds and characteristics of the major Hispanic groups. How does that background affect the preferred public policies each group prefers and advocates? Ask yourself, what factors were important/critical for the success of one group and the not the other? Be sure to include in your discussion the differences between first and second generation Hispanics. Where do you fit in this discussion, particularly with respect to other members of your household?
