Malaria rates among pregnant women in Liberia

This is a “Program Planning Class”

This prohgram that I am about write on will address malaria rates among pregnant women in Liberia increasing mosquito’s net use, wearing repellents and screening methods for active infection tests by addressing knowledge, perceived risk, social norms, and social support.

Each participant will complete 10-intervention sessions over a 12-week period, including malaria screening events and health education. The entire program will take a total of 12 months. The program will consist of 3 malaria testing events which will keep participants involved while they attend within the length of time.

All participants attending will be engaged in acquiring knowledge and getting tested for malaria during the testing events for education activities.

The objective of my program is to prevent malaria among pregnant women and educate them about prevention tools to reduce risk of contracting Malaria.
The program should be targeted towards pregnant women so they can pay attention to the material/learning sections and be able to grasp the severity of Malaria to both mother and infant, and hopefully take precautions.

At the end of the program (period of 12 months), There should be a change in behavior (active mosquito’s net use and wearing repellents ).

The goal is make sure that the program works, ending with positive outcomes.
