Artist/Style Analysis On Eduardo Kac, GFP Bunny 2000

“This is the Historical Context paper and it will address the style of the artwork as well as any relevant information about the artist. To begin, research what style or movement the artwork belongs to. This is far more than asking if it is abstract or naturalistic- you want to figure out what type of art was popular at the time of its creation.

Consider why this artwork acts as a good example of this style- this may involve choices such as the medium the artist used, the amount of abstraction, or other elements that contribute to the way they portray the content.

You’ll not only question what makes this piece a strong example of this style, but why the style was popular. What was it responding to? There is a reason each art style becomes popular at the time it does and this is usually associated with ideas at the time, try looking at what styles were popular before the one you are focusing on

Finally, you may find it useful to include information on the artist. Don’t worry about giving me a whole biography on the artist- focus only on what was happening around the period this work was created.

A few notes on particular works:
If you are writing about a contemporary piece of artwork, such as Kac’s piece, you may look at what other artists were doing at the time. For example, if you are looking at Kac’s piece, you may look at how artists were using science in their art.”

Provide Two scholarly sources, MLA Format and include in-text citations as well as a cited bibliography at the end of the paper.
