Project Quality, Human Resource, and Communications Management

1. Project Quality Management – ensures that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken.
It involves the following processes: Planning quality, Performing quality assurance, Performing and quality control.
a. Focus will be on Planning quality – refer to book for further descriiption (pages295; 296 -300 – Please review before engaging in planning for quality)
i. Document to produce/output: Quality Management Plan. Refer to documentation provided.
ii. Document to produce/output: 3 Quality Metrics. Refer to documentation provided.
b. Project Human Resource Management – is concerned with making effective use of the people involved with a project. Key outputs produced as part of project human resource management planning include a project organizational chart, a responsibility assignment matrix, a resource histogram, and a staffing management plan.
c. The only outputs to produce will be the organizational chart and staffing management plan. More information is provided on chapter 9.

ii. Document to produce/output: Staffing management plan. Refer to documentation provided.
2. Project Communications Management – involves generating, collecting, disseminating, and storing project information. Key outputs include a communications management plan.
a. Document to produce/output: Communications management plan. Refer to documentation provided.
3. Progress Report – At the end of each phase, you are to submit a 1page progress report to show the status of project (Use the template from Phase #1).
