Purpose
Describe the process and elements of a lesson plan, and to determine what the most essential parts of a lesson plan are.
Assignment Directions
In 2-3 pages: Explain the purpose of a lesson plan and describe the elements you would consider pulling from a curriculum map in order to develop a good lesson. Elaborate on how a lesson plan is used, and describe the process that should be employed to design one.
In 2-3 pages: Identify the essential elements that must be present in any lesson plan, and then indicate an additional five to ten elements that you believe should be present in order to strengthen the plan for a teacher. Give a rationale for the selection of each element using scholarly support for those elements.
As with the previous assignment, look carefully at the elements of this assignment and organize your paper with good headings and subheadings.
