This is for a Humanities Class.
Create a complete Annotated Bibliography for 5 academic scholarly sources, which includes proper MLA Works Cited and the annotation (see below for examples of each component). A total of 5 academic-scholarly sources are required for completion of your research paper.
*Only scholarly sources should be used in assignments. These include peer-reviewed publications, government reports, or sources written by a professional or scholar in the field. Wikipedia, Wikis, .com websites or blogs should not be used as anyone can add information to these sites.
Generic Guidelines for Scholarly Sources:
the author has a Ph.D. or other terminal degree,
the work appears in a multi-volumed, peer-reviewed journal, and has ample references at the end.
The articles provided in the count as academic sources.
Good annotations:
Use proper MLA Citation & Works Cited
and have a detailed reading of the source, covering the following:
Summarizes key points, and
identifies key terms (using quotation marks, and citing a page in parentheses);
Locates controversies or “problems” raised by the articles;
States whether the student agrees or disagrees and gives reasons;
Locates one or two quotations to be used in the research paper; and
Evaluates the ways in which this article is important and has helped the student to focus his/her understanding.
