Implicit Bias Reflection Paper
The first section of the paper will be a description of implicit bias in society, including a theoretical explanation for implicit bias. You will also reflect on your own implicit bias test results, including how it may influence your social work practice. You must use four references, including two scholarly article. Use APA. (3-4 pages.) (THE TEST RESULTS OF THE 6 TEST I TOOK WILL BE IN THE FILES FOR YOU TO USE!!!)
Go to https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/ and follow the instructions to create an account. Complete 6 of the 14 tests.
· Describe implicit bias using the textbook and at least four references, including two scholarly articles, and the others may be gray material or from the popular press. You may choose to focus on one type of implicit bias. (2 pages.) (PICTURES YOU NEED FROM THE TEXTBOOK WILL BE IN THE FILES FOR YOU TO USE!!)
· Briefly summarize the results of your tests. (2 paragraphs.)
· Reflect on your experience taking the implicit bias tests. To start, consider these questions: Were you surprised by any of your results? What did you learn about yourself? How might the results of these assessments impact how you practice social work? (1-2 pages).
