owerPoint Guidelines:
Include at least 15 cultural topics with brief information from the following & refer to the rubric. Some topics such as the Deaf Community, Older Adult Community, or LGBTQ+ Community will not fit exactly into these cultural topics. The student will have to adjust information to correspond to the cultural group, but many of these topics can be identified.

Religious practices and rituals
Languages/dialects/communication patterns
Customs
Gender roles, family values and head of households
Communication patterns
Healthcare practices and rituals such as the use of food, prayer, spirituality, and other methods to protect health or prevent/treat illness
Health traditions
Health risk factors specific to cultural background
Fertility practices, Childbearing practices, Views of pregnancy
Death rituals
Responses to death and grief
Emphasis on nursing and health considerations related to:
Cultural responses to health and illness (i.e., blood transfusions, organ transplants, pregnancy, aging, death rituals, etc.).
Responses to health care providers including gender bias, privacy, communication.
Concept of time-related to arriving at health care appointments on time and patient compliance with prescribed medical regimes responses.
Emphasis on application: How to effectively provide culturally sensitive health care to a multicultural society respecting beliefs, values, and lifeways in health and illness.
Give 3 examples of how this information can be utilized in your practice of nursing, your workplace, or in your day to day life.
Use APA format
20 slides minimum not including the reference or title slide with a maximum of 24 slides not including the reference or title slide.
Well organized visually appealing graphics, pictures, themes and background slides with no more than 5-8 bullet points per slide.
Include at least four (4) peer-reviewed scholarly resources/references with in-text cites in current APA format. In-text citations should be on the bottom right-hand corner of each slide (in smaller print).
Citations for graphics are not required this time.
