Write an essay in which you discuss the role and importance of the concept of Fate in Oedipus. Fate does impact all the principal characters: Teiresias, Creon, Laius, Jocasta, the Corinthian Shepherd, the Theban Shepherd and, of course, Oedipus. A discussion of Oedipus is required. Then discuss at least two additional characters. Also include the concept of Fate as it relates to the overall theme (message) of the play.
Develop specifically with citations to the text of the play. However, only two short quotations (3 lines or less) allowed. All other references to the play are in your own words and cited. Remember to cite by lie number(s). No research!
