Question: Natural Selection has been the main explanatory factor for human evolution. However, epigentics has been an up and coming topic that has caused us to question its role in human evolution. How much has the factors of epigenetics contributed to human evolution, could it perhaps be a more dominant explanation than natural selection, have we perhaps misjudged (or been mistaken about) the overwhelming role of natural selection in the evolutionary process? This is the question you will be answering for the essay, it has some parts to it so please answer all parts of the question. The essay needs to be at least 8 pages at minimum and 10 pages maximum. This is an argumentative essay so you must choose a side to argue for. So for this question you either will argue in favour of epigenetics being a main factor or arguing that it isn’t as explanatory as natural selection. Don’t just choose a side if it doesn’t have any information, choose one that you will be able to argue for and provide information for. So go through the sources and provide evidence based on your stance. Do not flip flop back and forth between one side or the other make sure that once you choose a side to stick with it and make sure you have appropriate evidence to back up your argument. This is APA format so please have a bibliography at the end but also you must use in text citations! This is very important: if you are taking evidence from somewhere PLEASE make sure you reference it with in text citations or else it’s plagiarism. So make sure that whatever evidence you take from the sources that it’s backed up with in text citations. Whatever argumentative side you take for the essay take the appropriate evidence from the sources that goes with whatever side you chose. Don’t just take anything you feel like from the sources, take the things that number 1 have to do the topic and number 2 have to do with the side you choose. This essay needs a thesis statement that is a must!!! I hope you know what a thesis statement is because every writer knows what a thesis statement is. If somehow you don’t know what a thesis statement is let me explain. It is 1-2 sentences talking about the main points you will be talking about and arguing for. Then when you write the essay those points you mentioned in the thesis will be shown and discussed in each paragraph. So the first point you mention in the thesis for example will be discussed and argued in the first paragraph, the second will be discussed and argued in the second paragraph, and so on… The thesis needs to be very strong and succinct!!!
