Briefly describe your understanding of the strategic planning processes that go on in the organization (use bullet points).
How strategic are the goals or objectives of your chosen organization? Is it clear how the goals or objectives will help the organization achieve its overall purpose or vision – or is the strategic plan just a sequence of events to get something done without considering implications or future direction?
In your opinion, are these goals SMART* (Specific, Measurable, Agreed upon, Realistic, Time bound)? Where do they excel or fall short and why?
Your chosen organization doesn’t exist in a vacuum. If the planning process were made broader, for example by including different participants, what do you think would change (this could be either a positive or negative change)?
*Note there are different ways to define SMART. For example, some organizations like the ‘A’ to mean Achievable, or the ‘S’ to mean Stretching. There is no right way to define SMART, so if you are familiar with a different configuration, just state it and base your answer around that definition.

Keep your post to no more than 500 words. Bullet points and lists work great!
