Now that you have completed the scaffolding assignments for your Career Context Analysis, you are ready to complete the memo.
You have gathered your information; think about what you have learned. Consider the expectations you have for your career path and how what you learned supports or challenges that. Consider whether there are differences or even contradictions between the different sources (OOH, Handshake, LinkedIn, the optional interview) you used.

Consider whether there are differences or even contradictions between the different sources (OOH, Handshake, LinkedIn, the optional interview) you used.
Please do the following:
Write a properly formatted and well-organized memo of no fewer than two single-spaced pages and no longer than four single-spaced pages addressed to students in your career field that covers the following:
Explain what the requirements are for an entry-level position in this career path. Be sure you clearly reference the ads you located in Handshake as well as the OOH. For example, you might write, “As the P&G Physical Distribution Digital Engineer ad posted on December x, 2020 notes…”
Explain what might be required for advancement in this field. Be sure you clearly reference the OOH and the LinkedIn ad. You might have learned about this through your interview, too, if you were able to complete it.
Explain what challenges someone pursuing this career might encounter. This might be related to the competitiveness of the market, working conditions, etc. Again, be sure you are including clear references to what you reviewed.
Explain what benefits someone in this career might have. These could be monetary benefits, personal growth opportunities, lifestyle benefits, travel, etc.
Discuss any contradictions or inconsistencies about preparing for the career field and/or being in the career that you observed between the Handshake, LinkedIn, OOH, and interview (if completed). Think about why there might be conflicts between these sources of information. Why might it be important to get different perspectives on preparing for the field and having a career in the field? How might you explain these different perspectives to a fellow student interested in the field?
Offer a self-evaluation for your preparation for this career path. Address what you have done so far in your academic and professional life as well as what you need to do to be successful. This should be detailed and concrete and clearly draw on the ads you located through Handshake and LinkedIn.
Review your completed memo to check for proofreading, typos, and other types of errors that might limit its effectiveness.
