For this assignment, you will assume the role of mayor of one of the following United States cities: Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, or Houston. Your objective is to prepare a booklet that provides information for city residents that outlines homeland security prevention, preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery priorities within the context of four distinct contingencies. The content is intended for consumption by members of the community and the text should be presented in an accessible and succinct format, without technical verbiage. Your booklet must incorporate four strategic plans that include a succinct overview of prevention, preparation, response, mitigation, and recovery elements for each of the following four contingencies.
a natural disaster
a biological hazard
a technological hazard
intentional hostilities and threats
Each strategic plan must explain how your city will coordinate with federal, state, regional, and local agencies and networks. As a reminder, the booklet is intended to provide residents with an informational overview that demonstrates their city’s engagement of homeland security priorities in four distinct contexts.

Responses should contain no fewer than 250 words and a minimum of two properly cited references in APA format as outlined by the UAGC Writing Center from the assigned weekly reading materials, or from the weekly recommended resources.
