Describe the background and Significance of the problem.

EBP Model Paper (8 pages)

1. Identify and state the clinical problem/issue using PICOT
format. (1page)

2. Describe the background and Significance of the problem. Describe
in depth and propose a solution. Cite systematic reviews or meta-analyses here.
Cite the evidence for your proposed solution and describe the practice change
or intervention and to what extent it is appropriate for practice. (2 pages)

3. Select an EBP model (also can be referred to as a theory
or framework) to direct your solution to the clinical problem and describe the
model in depth describe the model (authors, context for its creation, history
of the model, key variables, measurement tools used if available) and how/where
it has been used in the past. (Examples of models in this level of depth are
well described in the Rycroft-Malone & Bucknall text). Cite well using both
the text and published research papers. (2 pages)

4. Application of the model to your clinical question and
rationale. Indicate the organizational factors and barriers that you can
anticipate to implementing the practice. Apply the model to your clinical
problem solution and depict using a figure of the model. (1 page)

5. Model Depiction. Use the EBP model that is selected and
then create a figure like the model but with the PICOT variables presented.
Please cite the model or if you adapt the model (figure of the model with your
key variables of interest included). Some students find it easiest to build a
figure like this in powerpoint or in another software program, then insert into
the word document. For full points the figure must be formatted to be
readable, inserted directly into the flow of the text and referenced in
the paper as “e.g. see Figure 1”. (1 page)

6. Conclusion with Implications for nursing practice and
research (1 page)
