Discuss about your life in education from the time you were in kindergarten to today. How have you been impacted by privilege (race, class, gender, etc.)? How have you benefited from privilege? How have you been negatively affected? How can you use this knowledge of privilege when working with YOUR students.
When you respond, think about school in terms of not just the classroom, but activities, relationships with peers and adults, future opportunities, etc. Also, be sure to support your reflection by tying back to the readings, the video, and other materials from the course. Be sure to support your positions with examples/evidence/and (cited) research when appropriate. Also, be sure to cite your resources in appropriate APA format.
