Discuss and develop a court observation paper based on observations of courtroom proceedings. View the proceedings on CA v. Han (1997) by accessing CourtTV.com (https://www.courttv.com/trials/ca-v-han-et-al-1997/) . Observe/watch all the proceedings that occur between the defendant, the defendant’s attorney, the jury (if relevant), and court officers (e.g., judge, district attorney, bailiff, court reporter). Based upon these views, develop a (3-5) page paper that describes your court observations and provide a critical analysis to the court observations based on the course readings of Chapters 7 (Defense Attorneys), 8 (Judges) and 9 (Defendants, Victims and Witnesses); which are uploaded. To access Trials: 1. Go to courttv.com 2. Select “Trials” 3. Scroll to CA v. Han Court Observation Paper Organization: 1. Description of the court observation including your perceptions and reactions to the experience. 2. Relate chapters 7, 8 and 9 to the court observation. This component of the paper should be thoughtfully prepared and demonstrate an intellectual understanding of theoretical/key concepts and a critical analysis of the readings, organization and development of the paper, as well as grammar/syntax. The papers should be typed, double-spaced, and incorporate appropriate citations that demonstrate a clear understanding of key conceptual ideas from the texts. Citations should follow APA style.
