Presentation Content
We have been studying humanities and the effects that art (in various forms) has had on people for many, many years. Now is your opportunity to create a mini gallery to display art that resonates with you, has moved you, and/or affected your life. Enjoy!
Create a Power Point, Prezi, Google slides, etc. that displays paintings, pictures, images, etc. of your choosing to satisfy the following instructions and provide detailed answers to the questions. Save and upload. You must also create a screencast presentation (screencast-o-matic.com), add your voice to your slides (or however you would like to present), walking through your slides as if you were presenting it to the class.
PART 1 To begin, 1) provide pictures of a cartoon, super hero, or some artistic form that fascinated you when you were a child. 2) Does it still interest you? 3) Are there any fiction super heroes in movies nowadays that you enjoy? 4) How about real-life heroes in your life? Who are they? Why are they important? How is the character of this person(s) you admire? Provide pictures or images of that person(s). 5) Express the art that is displayed in the pictures, paintings, images you have chosen. Talk about any abstract ideas, concrete images, color scheme, and styles (realistic, representative, etc). Have fun and/or be sincere as this is all a part of humanity.
PART 2
Display a painting or picture that you feel is an attack on humanity and share your thoughts of why you feel that image missed the mark. Afterwards, provide a painting or image that conveys ideas of humanity in the form of love, decency, respect, concern, etc. and explain your views.
As you explain and I explore the journey through your message, utilize vocabulary that we’ve studied and examples of such portrayed in the paintings. Allow me as a listener to feel what is being presented. Discuss any relations to paintings/sculptures or art that we have studied thus far.
