Discuss how the ADA is being used by an individual (or group) in discrimination.

Since its passage in 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act has provided many individuals and groups the opportunity to legally fight for changes in how society treats individuals with disabilities. These legal efforts challenge society to take a close look at discriminatory policies, practices, actions and attitudes in employment, services, transportation, and/or telecommunication.
The Federal judicial system (includes the courts and other legal actions) is where these challenges to discrimination occur. In a well written essay identify a law suit or other legal action that is a current example of how the ADA is being used by an individual (or group) in discrimination. This information can be found in newspapers, magazines and in searches using the Internet.
The essay will be a 5 – 7 page report (typed, double spaced) about the legal case that you identified. Clearly explain both sides of the legal argument. Also, cite the specific title(s) of the
ADA that are applicable in this case. Lastly, reflect on what you think the effect on society will be if one side wins the case and if the other side wins the case.
