Essay 3:Synthesis of Text – Poetry and Home

The Assignment
Write an essay that brings together and then describes, explores and makes a statement using a handful of poems—at least three poems–from those provided in the class readings. These poems explore the theme of home. Each of the poems touches, sometimes indirectly, on this theme. Your task will be to select poems that speak to you and help you to say what you want to say about the idea of home.
Your essay should consider at least three of the poems we have read together:
