According to Polit & Beck (2021), an early step in a study, such as, a quantitative study will have a strong conceptual framework. A conceptual framework includes, reading literature to extract evidence base practice and reviewing ideas of a particular topic of interest; formulating hypotheses via statistical analysis. Conceptual framework is a visual or written product, which displays either a partial or a complete pathway from intervention innovations to practice in real world settings. “The conceptual framework sets the stage for the presentation of the particular research question that drives the issue being reported based on the problem statement” (Sarma, H. et al., 2020). Conceptual framework provides guidance for implementation researchers, policy makers, and nurse researchers onreviewing key characteristics of an effective intervention, opportunities to strengthen outcomes, and on sustainability. Researchers can use this framework to plan an implementation roadmap (Sarma, H. et al., 2020).

The healthcare providers incorporate a theoretical framework to modify social or cognitive behavior to improve EBP interventions (Ramis, Ma et al., 2019). Researchers conduct a controlled environment for a pre-determinate duration. After the research studies are completed, results are documented and then implemented into modern evidence-based practice. Theoretical ideologies create a conditioning adaptation to annex current EBP into the hospital’s policies.
Under Bandura’s Social Learning Theory, self-efficacy contributes into adopting behaviors to grasp dexterity to utilize EBP (Ramis, Ma et al., 2019). The research was based on a constructivism pedagogy based which has the experimental group use problem solving skills and analytics in clinical practice. Once a theoretical framework is created by researhers, it facilitates in EBP and narrow the knowledge gap.

Discussion Post #3
Evidence based practice, research utilization and knowledge translation are interrelated concepts that explains the identification, utilization and application of knowledge from research sources to clinical practice. Evidence based practice is defined as, “the integration of clinical expertise, patient values, and best research evidence into the decision making for patient care.” (Bussieres, et al., 2016). Research utilization is a sub-category of evidence based practice, which refers to “that process by which specific research-based knowledge is implemented into practice.” Knowledge translations, emphasizes the synthesis, the breakdown exchange and application of knowledge from research findings, and from other sources, to influence changes in practice and allow for the improvement of health outcomes. Knowledge translation leads to helping bridge the gap between research findings and what is routinely done in practice. As researchers, one important step is to recognize what is nown about evidence based practice, research utilization and knowledge translation among healthcare professionals (Bussieres, et al., 2016)
