Explain one way you could measure your independent variable using a survey. Then, explain one way you could measure your dependent variable using a survey.

Generate one causal hypothesis that is of interest to you. You can form this hypothesis
based on your personal experiences or draw on published scientific research articles
(see this week’s module for tutorial video). This hypothesis must be different from the
one you proposed from Lab Proposal 1. The hypothesis must have one independent
variable and one dependent variable. You must write the independent and dependent
variables in terms of the concepts they represent (not in terms of measures)
Briefly explain why this causal relationship should occur. In other words, explain the
logic of your theory that guides your hypothesis.

3. Explain one way you could measure your independent variable using a survey. Then,
explain one way you could measure your dependent variable using a survey. Make sure
to include the exact question and response wordings for both survey items.

4. In one paragraph, explain what your target population is and how you would recruit
your sample. Make sure to state whether your method for recruiting your sample is a
form of probability or non-probability sampling.

5. Finally, explain whether it would be appropriate to perform a paired T test as part of
the analysis to test your hypothesis using your survey data.
