Informative Preparation Outline Template
On a preparation outline, write a full grammatical sentence for each point. Include transitions. See the sample process outlines for guidance.
Include a minimum of three source citations on your outline. Then list complete bibliographical information about each source on the Bibliography/Works Cited section. See the sample outlines for guidance.

II. State the topic and its relevance to the audience.
III. Explain your credibility (your experience with and/or your interest in the topic).
Oral source citation- What someone else—your source–says about the topic. (You may work in your source citation later in the outline, if you choose.)
IV. State your central idea.
V. Preview your body points.

II. Signpost then state body point two

Bibliography
Complete bibliographic information about the source you cited in your outline. Use MLA format as shown on page 135 of your textbook. You may also use Easybib.com or another source citation website or program.
