Proposal (DUE BEFORE THE ESSAY DEADLINE – MAR 5, 2022)
Students must identify their topic of choice and explain it in a proposal of 250-words or less.
This proposal should include either a provisional thesis or a thesis question that the paper will
answer. Must include two sources. Please use the attached document with the topic ‘facial recognition’ and the questions to guide your thesis and argument.
Formal Outline (DUE BEFORE THE ESSAY DEADLINE – MAR 5)
Students must submit a formal outline of their paper. This outline must include a provisional
thesis, an overview of the intended paper’s structure, and an expanded reference list (at least
five items.). Prepare a brief formal outline of your paper using nested decimal numbering to delineate
sections and subsections.
The first numbered section should be “1. Introduction”; the only subsection for the introduction
should be a provisional thesis statement as line item 1.1.
Final Paper
Papers should be approximately 3000 words in length, follow standard ABC format
(Introduction, Body, Conclusion), and present a strong thesis.
Papers should include a clear, descriptive title. A separate title page is optional, but not
necessary.
Students must support their claims with evidence from secondary sources, which should be
cited in-text using APA-style and documented in an APA-style reference list.
