First Fieldwork Report (3-5 pages): Your first field report will focus on Talk in the fieldwork site. Here are some prompts to guide your report:
1. How is talk used in your fieldwork site? Teaching Capstone Project must “meet expectations” to be added to your Academic portfolio.
2. What do you notice about how adults talk to children? What do you notice about how adults talk to other adults? What do you notice about how children talk to other children?
3. Give at least one example of how people talk at your fieldwork site that relates to the reading or literacy.
4. Provide a language sample- Write out a full conversation between adults and children or between children.
5. What does this conversation illustrate about language norms, culture and/or any other topic from the reading? (Make sure to refer to the assigned readings when answering this question.)
