Important component of health, management and prevention of illness

Dear Class,
Learning is an important component of health, management and prevention of illness. During Module 7, we will examine, critique and apply the role of learning theories, learning domains, learning objectives and outcomes, learning styles, learning activities (also known as teaching methods) and passive versus active learning.
Tips:
* Select a specific quality improvement topic for learning, based on a specific problem. Students who present for the general, broad topic of quality improvement usually have difficulty in writing the learning objective, selecting a learning activity and evaluating the learning activity.
* Both presentation objectives and objectives for the learning event should utilize Bloom’s Taxonomy of learning objectives. However, the written objective will be different for the presentation from the learning event.
Presentation Objective: Upon completion of the Code Blue simulation, the RN recorder will demonstrate 95% correct documentation of the emergency events.
* A learning objective is written for each learning domain: cognitive, psychomotor and affective.
* There is a link between the learning objective, learning activity and learning evaluation. For example for the Cognitive Domain:
Cognitive Objective 1: Analyze the RN recorder role during a Code Blue event in the emergency department.
Cognitive Learning Activity 1: Perform the RN recorder role during a Code Blue simulation
Cognitive Learning Evaluation 1: Calculate the percentage of correct items documented by the RN recorder during the Code Blue simulation
* Use key words (1-3 words) as bullet points in the body of the Powerpoint slide
* Speaker notes should contain full sentences/paragraph, with appropriate citation. The content of the speaker notes explain the concepts in the Powerpoint slide
* Use a light background with black font color. The participant will have difficulty reading slides which use a dark background and light color font; known as reversed color in journalism.

This is an example of what the teacher is asking for. The writer needs to decide on a topic in which to teach the students which is evidence based practice. It must include three objectives each separated by cognitive, psychomotor and effective.
