Complete a minimum of 6 hours in an early childhood setting for this course. Work with one preschool age child using literacy materials. 3 yrs to 5 yrs of age. Design, implement your literacy plan, observe and assess the child’s learning and reflect upon the experience. Use the ECIPs Language Literacy and Communication Domain.
Reflection can be on separate document identifying how the child engaged in the activity, stating how the plan was implemented, overall impressions and feelings. Questions to ask yourself:
1. What aspects of your lesson were implemented differently than you planned? Why did that happen?
2. If you were going to teach this lesson to the same group of students, what would you do differently? Why? What would you do the same? Why?
3. What surprised you in your lesson?
25 points each.
