Macro Policy Interview Questions and Answers. The interview was conducted for my team supervisor who hold the position of the Assistant Integrated Team Director at a nonprofit organization. Role: Team Supervisor Professional background: Licensed Social Worker The following interview questions were asked 1. Who do you typically work with? Are they government employees, healthcare providers, or community leaders? Answer: Contract with Department of Mental Health to assure and provide access to services and support to meet the mental health needs of all ages; enabling them to live, work and participate in their communities. Cooperate with health care providers to improve the overall medical and psychiatry treatment of the population served. Do you feel personally connected to the groups of people you are advocating for, despite working on a broader levels? If so, how do you feel connected? Examples? Answer: Yes, l am connected with vulnerable people to be able to identify different systems that hold them down. Advocate for basic human rights and needs can easily be achieve through connection. 3. What is one of the most difficult ethical dilemmas you have been in? Answer: issuing the population section 12 during escalated crisis is one of the most difficult ethical dilemmas, because it has to do with taking peoples right away when they pose to be a threat to themselves or others. This also must be handled well in order not to lose ones License, on the other hand staff need to be supported adequately for safety. Both must be balance. 4. What does your average day look like? Answer: I do a lot starting from email heavy, clinical assessment, crisis management, management around the team, clinical supervision, problem solved, making people feel supported. 5. How do you provide interventions as a Macro Social Worker? Answer: As a Macro social worker l still work directly with the population using harm reduction module to deescalate crisis. Supervising clinician, conducting trainings, and teaching intervention trainings are all tools used to provide intervention. 6. Do you feel you have made an impact on individual lives based on policy change? If so, How? Answer: Policy change on a small level in the organization involve with policy collaborating with other agencies. We push back on Department of Mental Health policies to better the work that we do and better serve the population. We hope to continue to advocate for both people that we serve and staff to put in more safety, and trainings for staff members. 1.
