If so, how do you feel connected? Examples? Answer: Yes, I believed that I am still doing some direct care in some cases. I came from a lower background where we have a financial struggles and also have a personal history of family member with mental challenges and that had helped to understand the struggles of those suffering from mental illness. Question 3. What is one of the most difficult ethical dilemmas you have been in? Answer: Conflicting value and Right to self determination. Added that society has constructed risk and we cannot override that power. Cited Section 12 as an example where a client is being taking or forced out of his/her own right. Human right and safety, every time we are face with the crisis like that, it is something we give careful look at. striking balance in both is crucial. Also, points out the philosophy of the dignity of risk. Watching the person making different or destructive decision and as a social worker, we just have to be on the outside to intervene. Answer: due to mass staff shortage, currently on a triage mode, but mostly attends risk meeting, Individualized Action Plan meeting, meetings for supervision, guiding staff on their case load, staff issues, hire on board staff and a lot of safety and risk assessment. Answer: Care coordination, Liaison with DMH, Hospital, Health Community Partner and with the outpatient providers, monitor the teams.
