What is an op-ed?
An Op-ed is commentary from either editors of the news source, a columnist or a guest commentator.
An Op-Ed makes an argument; like other arguments it has a claim, support and warrant.
An Op-Ed is not a newspaper article; it does not strictly report, though new news may be included in the Op-Ed.
An Op-Ed is NOT a letter to the editor.
Op-eds are generally 700-800 words and cite sources but generally do not follow APA standards (you do not have to use APA).
