Photo Analysis Activity
1. Read Mintz Chapter 7 – Laboring Children
2. Look inside the folder below.
3. Select one photo that is compelling to you.
4. For this week’s assignment you will describe and analyze this primary document using an historical lens. You should begin with a description of what you see. What is happening in the photo? Who took the photo, and why? Then, analyze the photo from an historical perspective using Mintz Chapter 7 as your guide.
5. Your paper should be approximated 1-2 pages (250-400 words) double-spaced. You do not need to include a bibliography or works cited page, but please include parenthetical references to the Mintz Chapter (i.e. Mintz, 78).
