Part One: PhotoVoice Presentation 30 points
PART 1: Conduct an independent qualitative PhotoVoice presentation on an appropriate Consumer Health topic of your choice. Document your experience with a specific Consumer Health issue by taking related photos (as many photos as you like, but they should be your own, not from the internet or other people). You will then develop a presentation using the photographs and include EITHER audio or text to help guide your viewer through the presentation.
LENGTH: Minimum of 10 slides for Powerpoint, Panopto, or Voicethread type presentation; minimum 5 minute length for other Video presentations)
CONTENT: Use personal photographs; no citation or references required for their use in this presentation project. However, if you include researched evidence or facts, please provide visual or narrative citation for the source of the information, and a reference page at the end of the presentation.
FILE FORMATTING: Make sure that you have file sharing settings set to “anyone with the link”
Part Two: Presentation Analysis Paper 30 points
PART 2: Write a brief critical analysis paper describing your consumer health topic and how you formulated & executed your PhotoVoice project. Reflect upon what you learned from this project, how this affects your place as a consumer, and how this topic (and your viewpoint) may change in the future – based on current cultural trends and societal interests.
LENGTH: 3-5 pages, plus a separate reference page (12 point font, double spaced)
CONTENT and ACADEMICS: Even though this is personal and reflective analysis, you are expected to use science based writing and academic tone. Please use at least 3 evidence based resources to support your analysis and include APA formatted citations within the text and a separate reference list at the end of the paper. Use the APA formatting materials in the Resources Module if needed.
