Below is a list of seven short cases, each of which depicts a person whose sensation or perception has been affected by specific brain damage or dysfunction. Depending on your group number (see Grades if you don’t have that), SELECT ONE OF THEM and do the following:
For your INITIAL post (the “first substantive post” described in the Syllabus), write up a brief report that summarizes the following:
1) What condition or conditions (there may be more than one possibility) are being described in this case?
2)What brain area or area(s) may be involved (be sure to consider which visual stream is involved too, if relevant)? How should they function normally? What could be causing this dysfunction?
3) What do the assessments and their results tell you about this person’s abilities and condition?
