The goal for this assignment is to locate four (4) different resources in Santa Clara County (California) that help families and children increase their readiness for Kindergarten and academic success.
The resources should be a combination of:
Resources that help families access early childhood programs
High quality early childhood programs
Programs housed in non-school based organizations (e.g., libraries, homeless shelters, etc.)
Organizations that set policy or fund activities/programs that achieve these goals
Describe each resource:
Name
Contact information
Mission/Goals
Services provided that relate to school readiness
The extent to which you believe the service will help improve children’s school readiness, address the community level problems identified in Lipscomb et al., and are cost effective (e.g., meet the needs of the largest number of children)
