In this essay, I would like to explore what’s worse? A world in which social media companies are held accountable for the content their users post or a world in which they are not.. Twitter has already started testing three levels of warnings it thinks contain misinformation – what’s more important is who or what is interpreting this data to determine misinformation? is it done through AI? Can the tools available to social media companies identify whether a tweet is misleading?? what about more complicated logical fallacies.. how about the role in government around the globe on what can/can’t get filtered? For this essay I don’t have to a pick sides, it is a think piece and the essay should provide insight on both sides.
