Here are the instructions with reading reflections I have 3 that need to be done. I have included the articles followed by the prompts for each.
The purpose of these reflections is to evaluate the information in your readings, engage more deeply with the content, and connect the information to “real life” examples. It’s fine to reference things that I talk about in the video lectures, but remember this is primarily a reading reflection.
The reading reflections will be the same assignment each week, and you will be addressing four parts:
Something that you already knew and where you learned this information (if you don’t know for sure, something more general or a guess is fine) – what do you remember about it?
Something that you found surprising or inconsistent with your experiences
Something that you connect to “real life” – either an experience you’ve had, an article you read or video you watched recently, etc.
Something that made you think differently
You can answer these in a numbered list rather than essay format (in fact, it’s preferable for me). Your responses to each of these questions should be 4-5 well-developed sentences. The first sentence will likely be the information from the text you’re addressing. The rest should be the “how” or “why” or further explanation. Please be sure to reference specific page numbers in your responses.
