First question: In the story James Baldwin uses an unconventional and non linear narrative. Why do you think he chooses to present the story in that way?
Second question: Look at the last two paragraphs; the scene in the night club. Why would Baldwin reference the “cup of trembling “. You may need to look that up if the explanation is not in the footnotes of the text.
