Theory of Planned Behavior/Reasoned Action

INSTRUCTIONS: Read the text Chapters 4 & 6. Use Lesson 3.1 TPB to support your reading. Do your best with the supplemental readingsattached.
In this topic, we discussed Theory of Planned Behavior and Theory of Reasoned Action. Both theories focus on theoretical constructs concerned with individual motivational factors as determinants of the likelihood of performing a specific behavior. TRA and TPB both assume the best predictor of a behavior is the behavioral intention, which in turn is determined by attitude toward the behavior and social normative perceptions regarding it. TPB is an extension of the TRA and includes an additional construct: perceived control over the performance of the behavior.

3.1a) Based on Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), what do you think might be some of the attitudes, norms, and control constructs you would want to measure to understand why or why not teens engage in unprotected sex?
3.1b) Based on all direct constructs in TPB, develop your direct measure.
3.1c) Based on all indirect constructs in TPB, develop your indirect measure.
