For this assignment, I would like you to find out as much as you can about Tom Longboat. Who was he and what was his sport? How did he train? What discrimination did he face while he was an athlete? What was his legacy? To answer these questions, you can use as many sources as you want, but at least two have to be academic. When citing your sources please use footnotes or endnotes. Try and have at least two footnotes per page.
Your final essay should be 1,500 words or 6 pages, double spaced. It should have a title page with a colorful title and the following information: your name and student number, and the name and number of the course. You will want to use your introduction to get your hooks into the reader. Make your argument in a lively way and then defend it in the main portion of your essay. The conclusion can be used to summarise your main points/argument.
