Viral Advertisements

THE FOLLOWING IS NECESSARY FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT

(1) Find two ads from two different platforms (television, radio, social media, television; do not use a platform outside of these four) that you believe have gone viral. The ads must have been created within the last 7 years.
(2) Describe each ad
(3) Provide significant quantitative evidence that each ad has gone viral, including but not limited to: the number of times the ad has been seen and/or discussed by consumers as well as newspaper articles. Evidence needs to come from reputable sources (i.e., The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Business Week, The Economist, Washington Post, BBC, The Guardian, NPR/PBS, Reuters, The Atlantic or similar outlets (contact me if you have questions about an outlet OR use the sources listed).
(4) Write a report on if (and how) the ads utilize each 6 Sticky Principles. Note: It is not necessary that the ads use each of the Sticky Principles. Rather, your response should seriously critique the ad’s use of the Principles.
(5) Consider the ethical issues that should be taken into consideration when anyone is thinking about applying these techniques. Topics that you might address: Does the use of the Sticky Principles constitute manipulating consumers, deception, lying, threats…etc.
(6) PLEASE FOLLOW THE TEMPLATE PROVIDED.
(7) I have attached the instructions and template and pdf to the book with the 6 sticky principles.
