I was given the ‘ UNALLOWED’ point of view and I now have to respond to to two discussion posts that are ‘ALLOWED’ to counter the argument.

First:
Each student has been assigned a position. You will work to prepare a statement supporting your assigned position. Below are some general guiding questions to consider when debating any topic. Students can use the guiding questions to plan and prepare the groups position; however it is expected that each group will expound on the assigned position using other resources, to touch on other considerations of the topic:
What are some reasons that people would have this position?
Who benefits the most from this viewpoint?
Who does not benefit from this viewpoint?
What sort of solutions would this viewpoint support?
Why is this viewpoint vital to addressing this social problem?
Students must make one single post supporting their assigned position to the “DEBATE” Discussion board forum. This single post should be made by Wednesday at 11:59 PM. The initial post must be at minimum 2.5 pages at length. Response posts must be at least one full paragraph. Paragraphs must be at minimum 5 complete sentences in length. Simply agreeing and/or disagreeing with a post will result in a significant reduction in points. Please see Discussion Board Due Dates and Expectations for additional information on discussion board expectations for this course. Your ongoing participation in this discussion is required to receive full credit on this assignment.

During the second half of the debate, each student will make a rebuttal argument to two other students with an opposing viewpoint. For example, if you are assigned the ALLOWED position, you will post two different rebuttal arguments in response to two classmates assigned to the UNALLOWED position . Your posts should be well written, grammatically correct, and utilize scholarly resources to support your argument. Again response posts must be at minimum one full paragraph Please see the discussion board instructions and expectation documents located in the Module-2 folder. This will be your rebuttal argument. The rebuttal argument post will make up the other half of your grade on this assignment. Full participation in both portions of the debate is required for full credit.
