For your final presentation, you will record a 2 minute pitch for a fictional company. Imagine you’ve trapped potential investors in an elevator and they have no choice but to listen to you until they reach their floors. Put your best foot forward.
Pitch the idea from your Week 8 paper (attached). Review the executive summary on pp. 194-5 (attached). Hit the points in the last sentence of the first paragraph. Explain the problem you are solving. What do you have no one else does? Give facts demonstrating you have a good idea that could be really big. Emphasize the people on the team. Given a choice between a great idea with a so so team and a so so idea with a great team, investors tend to take the great team.
Make a short Powerpoint presentation. Record a 2 minute pitch over those PowerPoints in Kultura. You can use another recording app if you like. Submit the link for me to review. That’s it, you’re done.
Mark Twain once quipped that he would have written a short letter, but he didn’t have time so he wrote a long one instead. Getting a business idea down to 2 minutes is hard. You may have to rewrite and re-record this many times to get it right.
