Analyze the status of construction in Canada by region. Which regions are experiencing the most activity and which are not very busy? Do an in-depth analysis providing details about why this is occurring, what type of construction is being done etc.
Analyze a construction material or technique that is having a significant impact on how things are done in the industry. Provide details about how the material or technique emerged and the impact that it is having or is predicted to have on the industry.
Provide an historical analysis of how construction methods have changed in Canada. You may wish to focus on a particular type of construction: i.e. civil infrastructure, residential construction.
Suggest a different type of topic related to your industry. Be sure to get your instructor’s approval before proceeding.
Once you have chosen a topic and found a group to work with on the assignment, get started on your report:
Develop a research question.
Conduct research using the college LRC resources and by finding credible online sources.
Keep notes of the research you want to use and create APA references for each as you go.
Create an outline, embedding (quoted and paraphrased) research in the appropriate spots.
Meet with your professor and present your outline. Be prepared to discuss your progress to date.
Use the outline to create a PowerPoint to be used as support in your presentation.
Use the outline to create a written report in fully developed paragraphs.
Revise and proofread your PowerPoint and written report thoroughly.
Submit the PowerPoint and the written report to the Presentation 2 Report dropbox
by the due date (November 13).
Present your report using the PowerPoint.
