Would John Locke say that a vaccine mandate is legitimate or illegitimate? That is, would Locke argue that the state should have the power to mandate receiving a vaccine in order to go out into public spaces for the sake of public health? Or would Locke argue that this goes beyond the powers we gave the state in the social contract?
