Planning your essay: Read Chapter 6, “Graphic Fiction” that begins on page 102. Then choose a
question that is interesting to you. Be sure you review the prompt question carefully. For
instance, writing to respond is described on page 7. Explication is described on page 8. Cultural
context is explained as each author and fiction begins. Follow the principles of writing described
in our textbook within Chapters 1, 2 and 3.
