Topic for First Reflection Essay: During the era 1450-1750 exploration, trade, and imperial expansion increased global connections, and, as a result, the world experienced an escalation of a process that we now call “globalization.” Globalization is a process driven by the intensification of global interactions and involves the integration of cultures, economies, societies, and ways of life. As globalization progresses the most visible impact is that the world’s people influence each other more profoundly and thus become more similar to each other.
Write an essay that focuses on what you believe to be the three most significant effects of globalization during this era. An “effect” needs to be something that changed as a result of growing connections among regions of the globe.
