ASSIGNMENT: SCORER’S CHALLENGE
In this activity, you will score six Student Essays (labeled A-F).
Step 1: Review the Scoring Criteria (pages 2-3)
Step 2: Review the Prompt (page 4)
Step 3: Read each Essay (pages 5-10)
Step 4: Score Each Essay on a scale of 1 to 6, using the Scoring Criteria
Step 5: Create a Document (YourName.ScoreChallenge).
In the Document:
> Record your Scores
(For example: A-3, B-2, C-6, etc)
> Write two paragraphs
justifying your choice
(1) for the Score-6 essay
and
(2) the Score-3 essay
